What to watch for
Session times below are in MST.
- Kubeflow: CNCF lists the project as graduated since July 24, 2026. A Thursday keynote at 9:12 AM celebrates the graduation, and a maintainer talk on Wednesday at 3:10 PM covers how the project got there.
- Helm 3: the Helm project committed to Helm 3 security fixes until November 11, 2026, the Wednesday of KubeCon week. The maintainer session "Breaking up Is Hard, but the Future Is with Helm 4" is on Tuesday at 3:40 PM.
- Gateway API after Ingress NGINX: best-effort maintenance of Ingress NGINX ended in March 2026, with no further releases or security fixes. Sessions include a Gateway API project update (Wednesday, 3:10 PM) and "Four Resources, One Object: Surviving Gateway API After Ingress NGINX" (Thursday, 11:00 AM). Our Ingress NGINX migration guide lists the cluster checks to run first.
- Kubernetes v1.38: the SIG Release schedule puts KubeCon in week 11 of the cycle, with code freeze on November 16 (AoE) and the release planned for December 16, 2026. Version 1.34 reached end of life on October 27.
Many keynote titles focus on AI and agents, such as "The Identity Crisis: Who is the AI Agent in Your Cluster?" on Tuesday. Follow our Conferences section for event coverage and Platforms for Kubernetes news.
