Organizers have wrapped up APNIC 62, a week-long gathering held in Mumbai, India, that drew participants both in person and online. The National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) hosted the event with co-hosting support from ISPAI between September 4 and 10, 2026.
The conference assembled network operators, Internet policy experts, corporate representatives, APNIC Fellows and other stakeholders from across the globe to exchange knowledge, discuss emerging challenges and shape regional Internet governance frameworks.
The gathering attracted 583 registered participants across in-person and remote attendance, spanning 54 separate economies. Among those present, 169 organizations holding APNIC membership sent representatives. Social media engagement was robust, with attendees sharing content under #APNIC62 across X, LinkedIn and Facebook platforms. The organizers also published 24 video recordings to a dedicated APNIC 62 YouTube playlist.
A total of 120 speakers delivered presentations throughout the conference, with keynote addresses from Amajit Gupta and Yukako Uchida.
The conference organizers acknowledged the contributions of sponsors whose backing enabled the event to proceed. The program committee also received recognition for structuring an agenda that kept participants engaged throughout the week.
Attendees are being asked to complete a post-conference survey to provide feedback that will inform improvements to future editions of the gathering.

The next regional gathering in this series, APRICOT 2027, will take place in Hong Kong from February 24 through March 4, 2027.
