Anthropic unveiled the Claude Marketplace, a centralized hub designed to consolidate plugins, connectors, agents, and related tools for its AI assistant. The marketplace went live immediately and currently features over 2,000 connectors and plugins, according to Anthropic's announcement.

Major technology vendors including Atlassian, Google, Microsoft, Notion, and Salesforce have contributed integrations to the platform. Beyond these foundational partners, Anthropic is also listing Claude-powered agents and products developed by companies such as CrowdStrike, Cursor, Harvey, Legora, Lovable, and Snowflake.

The marketplace extends to systems integration and consulting partners as well. Accenture, Boston Consulting Group, and Deloitte are among the firms listed to help organizations implement Claude across their operations.

While Claude previously supported connections to external applications, the marketplace model—comparable to app stores—enables capabilities that go beyond straightforward point-to-point integrations.

Opening the platform to all developers

Anthropic recognizes that vendor support alone may not guarantee marketplace viability. OpenAI's earlier attempt at an apps marketplace demonstrated the risks of a closed approach, prompting Anthropic to adopt a more permissive strategy that welcomes contributions from any developer.

Developers can build connectors and plugins using Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent Skills. Companies offering Claude-powered software can submit applications for marketplace listing.

Anthropic frames the marketplace as a discovery tool for teams seeking products with existing Claude compatibility, while simultaneously providing developers and partners direct access to Claude's user base. The effort mirrors the structure of mobile app stores, though success remains uncertain at this stage.

The Claude Marketplace is accessible through Anthropic's website.
