Hudson

During late 2019, Hudson, a prominent recruitment and talent management firm, unveiled JobAccelerator, a software-as-a-service offering. The platform leverages event-driven design patterns built atop AWS serverless infrastructure and data lake capabilities, including Amazon EventBridge, AWS Step Functions orchestration, AWS Lambda, Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), AWS Glue, and Amazon Athena.

Serving as the central nervous system of JobAccelerator, Amazon EventBridge facilitates inter-microservice communication across AWS offerings while providing native integration with external systems such as authentication and messaging platforms. By implementing Amazon EventBridge, JobAccelerator achieved remarkable growth—processing expanded from approximately 5,000 events monthly in late 2019 to roughly 50,000 events monthly by early 2021, all while maintaining exceptional cost efficiency and generating hundreds of thousands of dollars in annual savings. The low-code approach enabled by Amazon EventBridge has allowed the JobAccelerator team to release features rapidly, keeping pace with market demands.

The platform now serves numerous Fortune 500 organizations operating in Asia Pacific and Oceania, supporting tens of thousands of displaced workers in their pursuit of new employment opportunities through personalized coaching and job-search tools.

By using services such as Amazon EventBridge, Hudson has created a highly scalable and cost effective technology that helps job seekers build their perfect resume, refine their job search, track their job activity, get better job recommendations, and secure their next role quicker. It has allowed us to bring a product to market that services both ASX100 companies and individuals in under three months.
