The Asia-Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC) made headway during the third quarter of 2026 on its resource delegation review initiative, presenting findings at APNIC 62. The program's core mission involves auditing all IPv4 resource delegations and transfers handled by each National Internet Registry (NIR) and APNIC itself across a decade-long timeframe, verifying adherence to established address allocation policies.

Completion of preliminary data audits for IRINN and CNNIC marked a significant milestone during the quarter. APNIC delivered IRINN review findings to IRINN/NIXI in September, with plans to present CNNIC results to that registry in October. Work on a final data audit for IDNIC, addressing a five-year span excluded from an earlier IDNIC review, remains underway.

Examination of APNIC's own registry records commenced in September. The organization continues collaborating with VNNIC, IDNIC and IRINN to assess their audit outcomes and filter out false positives. Audits affecting TWNIC, KRNIC and JPNIC have already concluded.

APNIC intends to finalize all audits or transfer them to NIRs for validation and correction efforts before the end of 2026. The program is expected to wrap up in early 2027, when findings will be released to the broader community. Some remediation work may extend beyond the formal conclusion of the review initiative.

Details regarding the resource delegation review program are maintained on a dedicated website. The community will receive another status report in December 2026.
